Bookkeeping

I can provide full charge bookkeeping services in Quickbooks Online (QBO), Xero, Freshbooks, Netsuite and Wave. I have many years in of bookkeeping experience in all of these systems and am familiar with setup, cleanup, ongoing bookkeeping and transitioning from one system to another. When not available myself, my team at Reconciled.com can handle the work.

Advisory Services

I have served as a Controller and CFO for multiple small to medium sized businesses in the United States. This includes budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and financial statement review. I have also assisted with applying for debt capital, raising equity and advising on M&A transactions. My firm Reconciled has purchased multiple accounting firms since 2020.

Coaching & Mentoring

Businesses often get stuck in the same place for many years. I help business owners get unstuck through either coaching and/or mentoring. Through regular and structured meetings, I help small business owners identify the areas of growth and break through.

My name is Michael Ly and I am founder of Tempe CFO. Tempe CFO provides bookkeeping, small business advisory and coaching services to small businesses and their owners in Arizona and the United States. Tempe CFO is backed by the team at Reconciled, where I serve as CEO. I would love the opportunity to serve your business and I take that privilege very seriously.

I am a serial entrepreneur and accounting professional, with a deep passion for helping small businesses be more successful. My parents came as refugees to Tempe, AZ in the early 80s and I have the privilege of growing up in the heart of Tempe, receiving all of my formal education and eventually graduating from Arizona State University. My parents modeled entrepreneurship for me and my siblings as small business owners themselves. I was first introduced to accounting by my brother-in-law while I was in middle school and he was dating my sister at the time. I got my first accounting job at 16 and have been actively involved in small businesses throughout the country as a Bookkeeping, Controller, VP of Finance or CFO.

I have helped launch multiple small businesses and nonprofits throughout the country. Since 2015, I have launched Reconciled, a nationally recognized online bookkeeping service brand (made the Inc. 5000 and Sun Devil 100 lists multiple times!), and Humnly, an online HR services business. When not running my companies, I can be found speaking at conferences, spending time with my family, or enjoying food with anyone I can meet!
